Major VoIP firm partners with open source specialist

VoIP Innovations, which provides the largest direct inward dialing (DID) and VoIP footprints in North America, is adding cloud communications platform 2600Hz to its expanding roster of partners.

VoIP Innovations’ partnership program is a scheme to build stronger relationships between the company, its customers and the switch vendors they use. VoIP Innovations says it will continue to add partners as it improves the delivery of switching infrastructure to the end clients of their customers.

San Francisco-based 2600Hz owns Kazoo, an open-source, distributed multi-tenant platform that delivers a mix of telecom tools to modernize the way businesses provide telephony to their customers. It has also recently expanded to offer a full-enterprise private branch exchange as well as a hosted one.

“VoIP Innovations has an established relationship in the industry, so we were thrilled when they approached us for a partnership and expressed interest in support out open-source efforts,” says Darren Schreiber, CEO and co-founder of 2600Hz.

The partnership will furnish 2600Hz clients with high quality DIDs and minutes at the touch of a button, and provides VoIP Innovations’ own clients with unified business communications they can add to their current offerings.
